Christmas together
Make Christmas cards with a coloring page
A handmade card does not need perfect coloring. A favorite color, a few cheerful marks, and a message from your child are enough to make it personal.
What you’ll need
- The free Christmas at Home sample
- Crayons or colored pencils
- A blank card or folded sheet of paper
- Glue and scissors for an adult to use
Choose a recipient
Ask who the card is for. A grandparent, a neighbor, or a friend can make the activity feel like a little gift.
Color the tree together
Print the sample and let your child choose the tree, star, and clothing colors. Offer suggestions only if they ask.
Make it into a card
An adult can cut the colored picture to fit the front of the folded card. Glue it in place, or leave the full page intact and send it as a drawing.
Add their own words
Ask, “What would you like to tell them?” Write their exact message inside and let them add a signature, scribble, or little drawing.
Keep a little memory
Write the date on the back before giving the card away. If your child wants to keep their picture, make a second one together rather than insisting they give it up.
