Book interest

We record the book, action, UTC date, and a random browser-session identifier when you open a book page, follow an Amazon book link, or register interest in an upcoming title. Our interest records do not store your IP address, name, or email. Counts measure interest, not purchases or unique people.

The identifier is stored for your browser session. Upcoming-title choices are remembered in local storage. Clearing browser storage removes those preferences. Free samples do not require a newsletter signup.

Newsletter subscriptions

If you choose to subscribe, we store your email address, signup time, consent wording and version, status, and a private unsubscribe identifier. Only the authorized studio owner can access the list. Signup uses an unchecked consent box and Cloudflare Turnstile. It is single opt-in: ownership of the email address is not confirmed by an email link.

You can unsubscribe using the link in future newsletters or contact the studio. We may retain an unsubscribed record to respect your choice. Records remain until you request deletion or the studio removes them. If we later use an email delivery service, this notice will be updated to name it.

Contact messages

Newsletter signup on the About-page contact form is optional. Leaving the checkbox unchecked does not add you to the newsletter, reactivate a previous subscription, or change an existing subscription. We store your name, email, subject, message, time, and consent wording in the private studio inbox. If you are already subscribed, no duplicate newsletter record is created. Sending another message after unsubscribing, with fresh consent, subscribes you again. You can unsubscribe later without deleting your contact message. You can contact us using the form or the public email address without subscribing.

Contact messages remain until the studio deletes them or you request deletion. Only the authorized studio owner can read them. The form saves messages in the dashboard; it does not automatically email them to the public mailbox.

Services and contact

Cloudflare hosts the website and database, protects the private dashboard with Access, and supplies Turnstile. It may process technical information to operate and secure those services. Amazon applies its own practices after you follow an Amazon link.
